In 2003, Nina moved to Barrie from Bratislava, Slovakia. She loves to spend her time cooking for herself and her loved ones, watching movies and playing with her dog and one day hoping to travel and taste the cuisines of the world. She was the first of her family to attend postsecondary education. Since immigrating, Nina has successfully graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science in the Biomedical Sciences program in 2020.
During university, she was an avid learner, an executive member of the Best Buddies program and a teaching assistant in the Human Anatomy Program – both programs close to her heart. She enjoyed demonstrating physiological systems and the human body’s wonders to students of all ages and healthcare professionals. She would look forward to meeting others and learning from one another. During this time, she further developed her passion for dentistry, working on projects focusing on oral function. The learning has continued for her as she has shadowed Dr. Mikhail during many procedures and witnessed the team exemplify excellent patient care. She hopes to aid in this excellency, taking on the administration role at the office. She looks forward to meeting new and existing patients as a new face to the team.
