When it comes to dental emergencies, we’ve got you!
Dear Valued Patients,
We hope this letter finds you, your families and your loved ones well in this trying time for our community. We have all been through a lot in the last few months, and it seems as though our hard work at social distancing will be paying off in the near future with the measured re-opening of some businesses. Our office is currently making preparations to open as an emergency and urgent care office to serve our community. While many things have changed in the world due to COVID-19 one thing remains the same – our commitment to providing safe treatment for our patients and our team.
When you have been to our office in the pre-COVID-19 era, you will have noticed our commitment to maintaining strict and current infection control protocols. When you are in for your next visit, you will notice some changes in protocol related to the pandemic and we wanted you to be aware of what we are doing to keep everyone safe at this time.
Changes you will see include but are not limited to:
- You will be asked some screening questions related to the virus when your appointment is confirmed. As circumstances do change, you will be asked these same questions again when you get to the office.
- Our reception area will not be in use at this time. You will be asked to wait in your car until the treatment room is ready for you. We will text or call you at your appointment time to let you know to come up to the office.
- You will be asked to use hand sanitizer upon entering our office. You will be given a mask and your temperature and oxygen saturation levels will be taken and recorded.
- Appointment times will be staggered to allow for adequate social distancing. This may mean there is less choice in appointment times.
- Our team will look a bit different. Our masks have increased in size and we will be wearing gowns, bonnets, face shields and boot covers. Depending on the procedure you are in for, you may be asked to wear a surgical gown as well.
- While you won’t see this aspect, please know that we will be screening ourselves for any COVID-19 symptoms prior to leaving for work in the morning. Further, all team members will have temperature and oxygen saturation levels checked upon entering the office and these readings will be recorded.
We won’t say we look forward to seeing you soon, as seeing you will mean that you are having a dental emergency. We do however want to set your mind at ease in knowing that if dental emergencies or urgent matter arises, we are prepared to help you through it using the most current safety protocols. If you feel that you are having a dental emergency, please reach out to us at 705 792 0079, or on our website at www.simcoefamilydentistry.com and we will be able to direct you further.
Thank you for your continued trust in our team.
Stay safe!
Sincerely,
Dr Mikhail Pliousnine and the team at Simcoe Family Dentistry
