This week’s dental blog is about a pretty hot topic not just in the dental world, but in our Barrie dental office as well! Oral Piercings – Are You Putting the Health of Your Teeth at Risk?
Tongue and lip piercings have become more popular in recent years. As dental professionals, we see many patients with mouth jewelry - and the risks to the teeth associated with this form of self expression.
The New Kid on the Block – Coloured, Sparkly Fillings for Baby Teeth
Does your child need a filling in a primary tooth? We now have the option of sparkly, coloured fillings for use in children! Not only does this make kids excited about coming to the dentist, but it will make keeping their teeth clean fun as well!
Preventive Dental Sealants
Did you know that the natural grooves in permanent molars are a very common place to find that a child has developed a first cavity? 2nd Annual Community BBQ / 1st Anniversary Celebration!
Dr Mikhail and the team at Simcoe Family Dentistry would love to welcome the Barrie Community to our 2nd Annual Community BBQ in support of the Barrie Food Bank on July 27th in our parking lot at 11 Ferris Lane! This free family event was such a great success last year that we thought we would do it again this year – but bigger and better!
First Dental Visit! What to Expect.

The Canadian Dental Association recommends children are seen by a dental professional within six months of the eruption of their first tooth, or by the age of 1 year. Now you may be thinking “there is no way my child will sit still for a dental appointment”!
